Biography

Nataya, One of the newest and hottest female artistes to come on the UK Soul/RnB scene, was born in North West London in 1983 of Maltese origin, Nataya soon moved away from London at the age of two to live in Northampton where she grew up.

Natayas formative years were somewhat varied due to extensive travel throughout the UKs Midlands area with her Mother. This experience has given Nataya a unique and strong basis to work with in providing material to write about in her debut album called “One Summer…“

Nataya went on to study Drama, Media and Art at Tresham College, Kettering, which has also helped lead to her creativity in writing and performing as a singer, songwriter.

Natayas musical influences have come from her extensive childhood exposure to her Mothers love for Motown and Soul music. Natayas unique life experience and creativity has provided her with the ability to write and create a fantastic blend of new music with strong childhood influences from the Motown era, creating an up to date modern feel for today’s music.

Natayas debut album “One Summer…” released on Red Skin Records Ltd, the worlds first major digital record label, Available for digital download from the 1st November 2007 at www.redskinrecords.com

Natayas unique blend of singing, song writing and production have attracted a number of well known producers and writers who have co-produced and co-written a number of tracks on Natayas album, attracting the likes of Jud Mahoney, Producer/co-writer, (The Underdogs) has worked with the likes of Babyface, Kci & JoJo, Tyrese. Scott Whitman Producer/co-writer (Dane Bowers, Chante Moore), Jo Perry (Producer/co/writer), Asha Elfenbein (Producer/co-writer) , Alexia Elfenbein (Producer/co-writer), Nixon Rosembert (Producer/co-writer), Terry Roberts (Producer/co-writer) This team have produced a phenomenal album which all lovers of Soul/RnB music will want to have in their music collection and is a must for Soul/RnB cone sirs.
